I went to their first German show this year in Berlin just last night. At first - I don't really know how I got there - I stood somewhere in the center part of front row, but soon I took some steps back because I felt a bit too groupie. The view was still good when Bloody Beach opened the show.
But as soon as KAKKMADDAFAKKA entered the stage I realized I was just standing in the middle of quite a cluster of teenage fellas who seem to want to be hipster so badly and therefore looked so much alike in their individuality. Lovely, so lovely. And on top, they had to prove one another and probably also themselves that they were so extreme and hardcore by moshing even to the most tender and serene tunes. Even though I stood there only for two songs or some, my shoes were already ripped open, I felt like all my toes were broken, wondering why my nose wasn't bleeding yet. I remember the smell of like 30 different people's hair. But to be able to actually have my eyes directed to the stage and hear something, we decided to get out of the moshpit - lo and behold, it was awesome.
KAKKMADDAFAKKA are the most silliest guys I've ever seen, their new tracks were smashing, and I haven't been dancing this good for such a long time. A lot of stage diving, half naked people but most importantly: decent music! So if they're playing somewhere nearby, do not miss it. Tickets are still available mostly. Tourdates here:
